Requirements
The following are mandatory requirements. Applications cannot proceed without them:
ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) - Required by all major US banks for non-citizen applicants. If you don't have one, see our ITIN service.
US physical address - A valid US mailing address is required. PO boxes are not accepted.
In-person visit - You must visit a US bank branch in person to open the account.
In addition, you will typically need:
Valid passport (government-issued photo ID)
Secondary ID (driver's license, national ID card, or other government-issued ID)
Proof of US address (utility bill, bank statement, or lease agreement dated within 90 days)
Source of funds documentation (banks will ask where your money comes from)
