Is citizenship by investment legal?
Yes. CBI programs are government-regulated pathways to citizenship. They are legal in both the granting country and internationally recognized. Your new passport is a legitimate travel document.
Do I have to live in the country?
No. All CBI programs grant citizenship without physical residency requirements. You receive full citizenship and a passport without ever living there (Antigua requires 5 days in 5 years, but that's the only exception).
Can I include my family?
Yes. All programs allow you to include your spouse, dependent children, and in most cases parents and siblings. Family members receive the same citizenship and passport.
What's the difference between donation and real estate?
Donation is a non-refundable contribution to a government fund. Real estate lets you purchase approved property that you own (and can sell after 5-7 years depending on the program). Real estate costs more but preserves capital.
Will my current country know about my second citizenship?
CBI countries do not proactively notify other governments. However, if your home country requires disclosure of dual citizenship or foreign assets, you must comply with those laws.
Which program has the best passport?
St. Kitts and Nevis offers the strongest passport with 155+ visa-free countries, including UK, EU Schengen, and most of the world. Antigua (154) and Grenada (147) are close behind.
What if my application is denied?
