Bank statements: Last 6-12 months showing consistent passive income deposits
Criminal background check: From your country of residence, apostilled
Birth certificate: Apostilled and translated
Health insurance: Valid coverage in Argentina (required under Decree 366/2025)
Proof of address in Argentina: Certificado de domicilio (we assist with this)
Note: Only passive income qualifies. Employment income, freelance fees, and active business income do not qualify for the Rentista visa.

Important Notes
Continuous residence for citizenship: Under Decree 366/2025, you must remain in Argentina continuously for 2 years. Any departure can reset the citizenship clock.
Health insurance required: Temporary residents must now have private health insurance. Free public healthcare is no longer available to non-permanent residents.
Self-employment permitted: You can open a business or work as self-employed, but cannot work as an employee for an Argentine company.
Tax residency: You become an Argentine tax resident if you spend more than 183 days per year in the country. Argentina taxes residents on worldwide income.
