The Process
Step 1: Document Preparation
We review your financial documents and prepare your complete application package. We coordinate your consulate appointment and ensure everything meets their specific requirements.
Step 2: Consulate Appointment
You attend the consulate interview with your prepared documents. We brief you beforehand on what to expect. Upon approval, you receive a visa sticker valid for 180 days.
Step 3: Enter Mexico and Complete INM Process
You enter Mexico within 180 days. We guide you through the INM canje process within 30 days of arrival, handling paperwork and coordinating your appointment. Your temporary resident card is issued, valid for one year.
Step 4: Three-Year Renewal
After your first year, we assist with your renewal at INM for an additional three years. After four total years of temporary residency, we help you convert to permanent residency.
Requirements
You must demonstrate economic solvency through one of the following:
Monthly income - Approximately $4,300 to $4,500 USD per month over the last 6 months, shown via bank statements
Savings - Approximately $73,000 USD average balance over the last 12 months
Additional documents:
Valid passport - With at least 6 months validity and blank pages
Completed application form
Passport-sized photos
Bank statements - Original statements stamped by your bank, or a bank letter authenticating them

Important Notes
30-day deadline: You must start the INM canje process within 30 days of entering Mexico. Missing this deadline can void your visa.
Consulate discretion: Each consulate interprets financial requirements differently. Some use net income, others gross. Some require the minimum balance on every day of the 12-month period. We help you navigate your specific consulate requirements.
Renewal structure: Initial temporary residency is one year. First renewal extends for three additional years, giving you four years total before permanent residency eligibility.
